Happy New Year.

Well first I would like to say Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a good holiday. I have hardly blogged at all for so long but I have a lot to catch up on. I have finished my degree (Bachelor of Media at Adelaide University) and am now deciding on things I want to do for the rest of the year! As a part of my degree I elected to do a placement, which I did at Attitude magazine. Attitude is a free, quarterly publication based in Adelaide that I am really excited to be a part of. The issue I helped out on was the September-November 2010 issue. It has taken me forever to do this I know, but I am back to business from now so will hopefully be doing a few more posts. Below are scans of the pages I contributed to, I was lucky enough to be able to do a whole range of things including writing, interviewing, photographing and styling.

Featured below are two articles I wrote (click to enlarge). Giovanni Esteban was the artist in residence at the Jam Factory, I was able to visit his workshop, interview him and photograph a selection of his jewellery.

The SAJC shoot I styled with a friend Sophie Castley. We were able to go around to several shops, pick the clothing, organise hair and makeup as well as all other accessories. Great experience!

The snippet at the bottom of this page was an interview I did with Penny Anne's Danielle Strong.

The main shoot was on location; we began in a caravan park then went to an old-fashioned petrol pump station, and by the end we were taking photos in a deserted forest. I was an assistant stylist with Sophie Castley.

The feature below was the first project I helped out on. I have behind the scenes photos coming soon.

AM/PM is a regular feature in the magazine, I was able to go out at night and photograph some of Adelaide's most fashionable at Distil, Rhino Room, Rundle Street and the Noir Parades.
All photographs by me except for Nadia, Maria, Kathryn, Danielle and DJ who were done by the beautiful Elle J Mercurio.

Finally, here is a little mention I got in the back cover.

Chloe Spring 2011

Images courtesy Style.com

Hannah MacGibbon has done wonderful things for Chloe. Spring RTW is no exception. I love the delicate sheer skirts with the carefully wrapped and folded bandage tops. I'm very happy she has refined her sleek and sophisticated design, I will always appreciate the fine balance between feminine and frilly.

She has kept the silhouette sharp while delivering dashes of volume. It is all balanced out with a beautiful ballet flat, some in a shot of red which lifted the colour pallet very nicely. The last dress is absolutely beautiful, I think we will be seeing a lot more of the mushroom-fawn colour as it is a neutral that flatters many more skin tones than the yellow-based caramel tones of her last collection (Fall 2010).

I also loved the tight ice-fawn funnel with the sheer calf-length skirt and red ballet flats (fourth picture down). The balance between skin-tight and billowy volume is very striking and beautiful. Bravo.

Attitude Launch

So... The last few months have been pretty busy.

I only have 5 weeks till I hand up my last assignment ever... Think of me on November 1st!

I have been doing work as a contributor for Attitude Magazine, have a look at the online version here.

Friday night was the launch at the Tivoli in Adelaide where all the contributors came out to celebrate the latest edition.

So here are some fun snaps I took at the launch... It was a great night out. Was good to see everyone that helped out and all the Adelaide fashionistas in one spot!

My dress is Willow, I wish I got a proper photo of it because the sleeves + details are really beautiful.

Nerida's jacket/dress is Lover (first photo).
